GMG Holding signs sponsorship deal for Lusail SC’s sporting and cultural season

GMG Holding Group has signed a sponsorship agreement covering Lusail Club’s activities for the 2024–2025 season, including the third annual “Eyyal Al-Freij” tournament.

GMG Holding Group has announced the signing of a sponsorship agreement for Lusail Club’s activities for the 2024–2025 season, including the “Eyyal Al-Freij” tournament that the club organises for the third consecutive year — part of the group’s commitment to supporting sporting activities in the State of Qatar and to affirming the role of sport in building a healthy, cohesive society.

The agreement was signed by His Excellency Sheikh Jabor bin Mansour bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of GMG Holding Group, and Mr. Nawaf Al-Mudahka, President of Lusail Club, in the presence of Dr. Sharifa Al-Emadi, Executive Director of the Doha International Family Institute; Mr. Fawaz Al-Musaifri, Director of Youth Affairs at the Ministry of Sports and Youth; and Mrs. Fatima Al-Obaidli, Head of the Programmes and Activities Section at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

His Excellency Sheikh Jabor bin Mansour bin Jabor Al Thani stressed the importance of the partnership with Lusail Sports Club through supporting one of the most significant tournaments it stages throughout the year, underlining the need to back the various tournaments and sporting activities held in Qatar and help them succeed on every level.

In press remarks he said: “The social responsibility of GMG Holding Group is not limited to its active role in developing the Lusail area architecturally; it extends further to play an important part in building a healthy sporting generation for the future,” noting that the agreement reflects the group’s belief in the value of sport and the importance of embedding its concepts and health benefits until they become a shared culture.

He pointed to the group’s keenness and continuous efforts to support distinctive sporting activities — especially those that carry connotations reflecting the identity and culture of Qatari society, such as the “Eyyal Al-Freij” tournament — explaining that the group continues to support a range of sporting activities and tournaments as part of its social responsibility.
